Helene Galek

Helene Galek (Marie) has known Vinnie for simply "yeeeeahs", but this is the first time she is working directly with him (and at the Fringe Festival yet!)  and couldn't be more thrilled! She is on the advisory board of Boo-Arts, a resident company of Manhattantheatresource, andperformed in their premiere production of "House of Bernarda Alba" starring Joy Franz. Helene is also a casting associate with Small Pond Entertainment and has assisted with casting on a web series, several readings, two mainstage shows at MTS and their upcoming Estrogenius Festival, where she is also one of the assistant producers and has performed in several of them in the past.

Helene has an extensive performing background in theatre, film, video, voice-over, sketch, improv, interactive and musical theatre in and out of the city. Recently she co-starred and co-produced an evening of two provocative new works under the title "Kissed Off" with bff Cindy Keiter.  It was received so enthusiastically earlier this year during a play development program, that they are moving full steam ahead to produce it again for a full run mid-winter 2010!

Helene believes "Make Love Not War" is over-due for a comeback and in retaliation to Hollywood, all of Helene's leading men have been younger than her.
